Tim and Randy – The Medley Brothers
“As told by Brother Tim”
Randy and I first met when I was putting together a band in Hollywood Florida back around 1980. Unfortunately the band was short lived and Randy and I went our separate ways. I moved to Key West and joined a Top 40 dance band. Randy started performing the Ft. Lauderdale/Miami club circuit with a Top 40 band.
In 1982, I settled in Naples and Randy around 1997. Sometime around 2010 while performing in Naples at a private gig, I ran into Randy who was with the catering company that was servicing the same function. It was nice to meet up again after so many years.
In 2017 Randy was playing with a band out of the Estero area and was looking for a replacement for a band member that was leaving. He suddenly remembered that we had reconnected years ago and called me to ask me if I wanted to join the band. I had basically retired from music a couple years prior to and was hesitant, but after a couple rehearsals I realized how much I missed performing.
After about a year playing in the some of the areas local clubs, the band dissolved. Randy and I started discussing doing something together and decided to go back to our roots of just two guitars and vocals.
The Medley Brothers were born (reunited).
